Element: Plan vessel refuelling
  • Dangers of hazardous chemicals and vapours are established and recorded according to workplace policies, procedures and HAZCHEM requirements
       
Element: Precautions for minimising risks associated with volatile liquids are identified and recorded according to workplace policies, procedures and HAZCHEM requirements
       
Element: Safety and environmental requirements for refuelling vessel are identified and recorded according to workplace policies and procedures
       
Element: Fuel type is selected according to the vessel operators' instructions
       
Element: Pump is identified and selected according to the fuel type and vessel operators' instructions
       
Element: Procedures for refuelling are identified and followed according to workplace policies, procedures, relevant regulations and standards
       
Element: Emergency plan is accessed, reviewed and clarified with appropriate personnel

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is identified, accessed and used according to workplace policies and procedures
